Lifespan West Mifflin Community Community Expansion Program officially opened Monday, April 4, 2011. Seniors of the West Mifflin area are invited to join in the programs there. The center is open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The center is easily accessible on the first floor of the West Mifflin borough building. Stop by and join in the activities and programs!

Recycling Made Easier

The Borough uses single-stream recycling. Residents can place all recycled materials in one bin.
The recycled materials will be collected using a garbage compaction truck and taken to a recycling plant where the materials will then be separated, sorted and processed. For more information on what materials we are now recycling

Council Meetings
West Mifflin Borough Council meets on on the Third Tuesday monthly (6:00 p.m.) for its Legislative meeting with the Caucus meeting the Wednesday the week before (6:00 p.m.). Meetings are held in the Council Chambers located on the second floor of the borough building.
Meetings for the month of June 2012 are: Caucus on Wednesday, June 13th at 6:00 pm. and Legislative on Tuesday, June 19th at 6:00 p.m.

There will be a meeting of the Zoning Hearing Board Monday, May 7, 2012 at 6:00 p.m.

For Seniors located at the West Mifflin Borough Building (first floor) is open on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays (9 am – 1 p.m.).
