The Borough of West Mifflin is governed by the rules and regulations as established by the Borough Code of the State of Pennsylvania This Borough Code basically outlines what the Borough is allowed to do under the laws of the State of Pennsylvania. Borough Government is organized under the following Departments.
The Borough has seven (7) members of Council, elected at large who serve a four-year term of office. Council is the body that sets policy for the Borough through the enactment of ordinances and resolutions.
