This department is responsible for the enforcement of the Zoning and Land Development Ordinances of the Borough as well as the various ordinances and codes that deal with building construction and renovation, property maintenance, and fire and electrical standards.
It is through this department that permits for building construction and renovation, occupancy, grading and signs are submitted, reviewed and approved.
Submissions to the Planning Commission and Zoning Hearing Board are processed through this department.
The West Mifflin Community Development Board meets on the first Monday monthly — with the Zoning Board at 6:00 p.m. and the Planning Commission at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers located on the second floor of the borough building.
