The Borough of West Mifflin is seeking proposals to provide a comprehensive, fully integrated, public-sector Finance, Payroll, Administration/Human Resource, Community Development, Public Works, and Police Information System. RFPs, including specifications, procedures to compete for the work, and disclosures are available at the Municipal Building, located at 3000 Lebanon Church Rd,West Mifflin,PA15122 Room 205, or by CLICKING HERE
In order to compete for the work, a response to the RFPs should be made as per the RFPs on or before June 15, 2012; responses should be enclosed in a sealed envelope and shall be clearly labeled “Proposal for Software and Services. The municipality reserves the right to request additional information from any or all respondents, to waive any defect or abnormality to award or not award all or any portion of the described work, to issue modifications or to otherwise move forward in the best interest of the municipality.

The Borough of West Mifflin is seeking proposals for actuarial services relative to its Police Pension Plan and Non-Uniformed Employees Pension Plan. The RFPs, including specifications, procedures to compete for the work, and disclosures are available at the Municipal Building, located at 3000 Lebanon Church Rd, West Mifflin,PA 15122 Room 205, or by CLICKING HERE
The specifications are set forth in the RFPs and include detailed questions associated with qualifications, experience, expertise and compensation to be charged. In order to compete for the work, a response to the RFPs should be made as per the RFPs on or before April, 20 2012 at 4:00 pm; responses should be enclosed in a sealed envelope and shall be clearly labeled “Proposal for Actuarial Services”. As set forth in the RFPs, the response should include several disclosures including a completed Disclosure Statement. The municipality reserves the right to request additional information from any or all respondents, to waive any defect or abnormality to award or not award all or any portion of the described work, to issue modifications or to otherwise move forward in the best interest of the municipality.

ATTENTION POLITICAL CANDIDATES
Please be advised that West Mifflin Borough Council has amended Ordinance #1174.
This ordinance regulates political signs exhibited on right of ways in the Borough of West Mifflin.
Political Candidates or Committees are required to file application and deposit a $75 refundable fee with the Borough prior to exhibiting political signs on rights of ways in the Borough of West Mifflin.
TIME FRAME FOR DISPLAY
No political signs may be displayed on Public Rights of Ways in the Borough of West Mifflin until 30 days prior to Primary or General Election.
Political signs must be removed from said public right of ways no later than 14 days after primary or general elections. Failure to remove said political signs will result in the surrender of the $75 refundable permitting fee.
Political signs in Right of Ways must be located a minimum of 5 feet or more outside the paved edge or curb of roadways.
Political Signs are NOT permitted on Borough owned property or on traffic islands. Political signs shall not be placed at intersections that will cause a CLEAR SITE OBSTRUCTION.
Political signs are not permitted to be affixed to utility poles in any manner.
Violations of Ordinance #1174 can result in the removal of political signs by the Borough of West Mifflin and be cause for citations to be issued in accordance with Pennsylvania law.

- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
- Two year prior administrative/fiscal experience required.
- Strong computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
- Must demonstrate strong communication skills both written and verbally.
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload accordingly.
